Our commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines across the Cobble website and app. Accessibility is part of product quality, not an add-on.

Readable design

• Body text uses legible sizing and strong contrast.
• Information is grouped into clear sections with predictable headings.
• Content is designed to reflow across mobile, tablet and desktop without horizontal scrolling.

Navigation and structure

• Pages use semantic HTML landmarks, headings, lists, links, buttons and labels.
• Interactive elements are keyboard reachable and have visible focus states.
• Forms use clear labels, appropriate input types and status messages where needed.

Images and motion

• Meaningful images include alt text.
• Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• We avoid using colour alone to communicate important information.
• We continue to audit motion-heavy app experiences for reduced-motion support.

Mobile app accessibility

Cobble is built with Flutter, which provides accessibility support for standard controls and text scaling. We are actively improving custom gesture-based flows, including scanning and guided cooking screens.

Known limitations

• Some custom gesture-based controls in the app need further screen-reader and voice-control testing.
• The camera scanning flow still requires visual interaction, so manual ingredient entry remains available.
• Some app animations are still being audited for users who prefer reduced motion.
