Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Cobble app ("App") or visiting the Cobble website at eatwithcobble.com ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Site.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cobble. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of service

Cobble is a kitchen and meal planning application that helps users identify ingredients they have available, discover matching recipes, plan meals, generate shopping lists, and follow guided cooking steps. The App is available via subscription.

3. Your account

To use Cobble you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Cobble account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Cobble is available through paid subscription plans (Cobble Plus and Cobble Family). Subscription management, billing, and payment are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play depending on your device.

• Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Prices displayed on our website are indicative final pricing may vary by region as set by Apple/Google
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except where required by applicable law or App Store/Play Store policy
• To cancel, manage your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Cobble App or Site to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the App or its data
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or our infrastructure
• Upload, transmit, or distribute malware or other malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage Cobble's reputation or interests

6. Recipe accuracy disclaimer

Cobble's recipe library is curated by our team and we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy. However:

• Recipes are provided for general home cooking guidance only
• We do not guarantee that recipes are free from errors in ingredient quantities, cooking times, or instructions
• You cook at your own risk always use your own judgement in the kitchen
• Cooking times and results may vary depending on equipment, ingredient quality, and individual skill

7. Dietary and allergy disclaimer

If you or a member of your household has a diagnosed food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary requirement:

• Always read the full ingredient list of every recipe before cooking
• Check the labels of all products you use
• Consult a registered dietitian, allergist, or GP for personalised advice
• Do not rely on Cobble alone for allergy-safe meal planning

Cobble shall not be liable for any adverse health event, allergic reaction, or injury arising from reliance on recipe content or dietary filter results.

8. Grocery and shopping list disclaimer

Shopping lists generated by Cobble are based on the recipe ingredients you select and the pantry information you have entered. Cobble:

• Does not guarantee that listed items will be available at any particular retailer
• Is not affiliated with any supermarket or retailer
• Does not receive commission from any retailer
• Cannot guarantee pricing, availability, or product accuracy for any item on your list

9. Scanning and AI disclaimer

Cobble's ingredient scanning feature uses camera-based detection to identify items. This technology:

• Is not perfect and may misidentify or miss items
• Works best with clearly labelled, well-lit products
• Should not be relied upon for allergy or safety-critical identification
• May not recognise all products, especially unlabelled or handwritten items

Always review your scanned ingredient list manually before using it to plan meals or generate a shopping list.

10. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, recipes, text, graphics, and other materials in the Cobble App and on the Cobble website are the intellectual property of Cobble or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Cobble content without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of any data you input into the App (such as your pantry items and preferences). By using the App, you grant Cobble a limited licence to process and store that data for the purpose of providing the service.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by requesting deletion via the App or by emailing privacy@eatwithcobble.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misuse the service. We will generally attempt to notify you before taking action, except where immediate suspension is required for security reasons.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cobble shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, property damage, or any other losses arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to Cobble in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
